I am a sub. What does that mean exactly? Well, if you are reading this, you might already know, but I will explain for those who might not.

First of all, the word ‘sub’ is short for submissive. Typically, a sub is in a relationship of sorts with a Dom, short for Dominant. This is usually defined as a D/s or Dom/sub relationship.

In a D/s relationship, long story short, the Dom is in charge, while the sub essentially does what she is told. Keep in mind that a D/s relationship is consensual, by both parties involved. (Yes, it is intentional that the ‘D’ in Dom is capitalized while the ‘s’ in sub is not.)

We all have our different reasons for wanting this type of relationship. For me, I like giving up complete control. I also enjoy trying my absolute best to pleasure a man (in general, even before I embraced my inner sub). And finally, I love to be challenged. I love to be pushed to my limits. I am also very open-minded and love trying new things, which I have found happens a lot in this lifestyle.

Now that we’ve gotten the description out of the way, I will get back to my introduction. I am a sub, submissive Sara. It’s, of course, not all that I am. In fact, I lead a very normal life…a life in which no one would guess that I was in this lifestyle. In fact, they would be shocked.

I have been described as nice, smart, funny, goofy, girl-next-door, innocent and down-to-earth. Pretty normal sounding attributes, right?

I keep this side of me very hidden. Only a very limited few in my life know this side of me, and I don’t divulge everything about it. Why? In simple terms, I don’t want them to think their friend is a freak. That being said, I don’t see myself as a freak, so to speak, but many might.

However, what I write here will be, well, my story. It will be explicit at times, just to warn you. It will be very open. I will write about my entire submissive experience, from beginning (the VERY beginning) to present.
